SHUTER Achieves LEED V4 Gold Awards and Pioneers Green Manufacturing at Babbuza Dreamfactory
2023/11/8 SHUTERIn the global trend towards net-zero emissions, there has been a significant surge in demand for green buildings. Currently, one of the most widely adopted green building assessment systems worldwide is LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). SHUTER is delighted to announce that it has achieved the standards of LEED V4 | US Green Building Gold Awards. Despite the higher construction costs, SHUTER showcases a steadfast commitment to sustainable development, aiming to reduce environmental carbon emissions. This accomplishment underscores SHUTER's dedication to environmental responsibility and innovation in the pursuit of a greener and more sustainable future.
SHUTER relocated to a new factory at the beginning of 2021, establishing an innovative Production and Tourist factory—the first of its kind globally. Our newly inaugurated facility, named Babbuza Dreamfactory, spans over 20,000 square meters and boasts a monthly production capacity exceeding 800,000 items for the livinbox and SHUTER brands.
Committed to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) sustainable management, SHUTER Babbuza Dreamfactory has consistently garnered acclaim, receiving numerous prestigious international design awards for its distinctive and groundbreaking design. This achievement reflects SHUTER's unwavering dedication to environmental responsibility and innovation in the manufacturing industry.
With the growing trend of Post-Consumer Recycled Resin (PCR), businesses are placing increased emphasis on design, prototyping, and production efficiency to minimize waste generation. In an effort to embrace the green economy, SHUTER utilizes Moldex3D's Material Hub Cloud (MHC) to enhance material selection efficiency, comprehensively assess material properties, and reduce resource consumption.
SHUTER's Babbuza Dreamfactory seamlessly integrates brand culture, smart manufacturing, and green economy principles. By adopting Material Hub Cloud, the facility aims to not only boost tourism revenue but also prioritize continual improvement in environmental sustainability, production technology, and competitiveness. This holistic approach reflects SHUTER's commitment to creating a balance between economic growth and eco-friendly practices.
Aligned with the principle of the Earth's continuous development, our production factory plan incorporates three major green building construction methods: the Water Chiller System (WCS), Rainwater Recycling System (RRS), and Solar Power Generation System (SPGS). This integration is projected to conserve approximately 40% of water resources and 60% of electricity. SHUTER is actively engaging with global climate change initiatives, taking a proactive stance in supporting carbon reduction policies, fostering the development of renewable energy, and collaborating with Taiwan to achieve carbon reduction targets.
